We had a great time at "The Jazz Cave" at Nashville Jazz Workshop! This cozy cave was filled to capacity with over 80 audience members listening to the tasty jazz stylings of guitarist Geary Moore and his talented ensemble. Geary invited everyone to sing along on "Down By the Riverside" and "When the Saints Go Marching In" for a rousing finish to a great morning of music!
John England and The Western Swingers were singin' and swingin' - lots of classics, lots of dancin' and lots of fun. After the show, Goodlettsville Senior Adults served up chili and all the fixins - for all 150 audience members. Yum!
We had a great time at Cheekwood! Country hitmaker Sylvia, with the help of her Music Director, John Mock, performed a great show including her hits Nobody, Snapshot and more. The weather cooperated too and we had a cool day (for July!) Many of the 250 audience members stayed to enjoy their complimentary admission to the gardens. THANK YOU, Cheekwood, Sylvia, John and everyone who attended.
The Kansas City 5-Star Jazz Band, a talented and lively group of young musicians, performed an hour of sizzling big band favorites at Centennial Park. Got some of us up and dancing the jitterbug! THANK YOU Kansas City, Metro Parks and all who braved the (almost) stormy weather!
Richard Griffin and his R&B Quartet rocked a packed house at the Larry Keeton Theater in Donelson! Richard's smooth saxophone and soulful vocals were supported by great performances by the other players in this talented group. THANK YOU to Larry Keeton Theatre for this great space, to Richard and his combo, and to all who attended.
Whit and Al Hill performed their unique blend of folk and blues on the stage of the beautiful Looby Theater in North Nashville. These two had the audience laughing and toe-tapping - especially with Whit's ode to hubbies everywhere on how to help . . . "Just Cook A Chicken!" THANK YOU you two, and also to Metro Parks and to everyone who joined us for the fun!
