Learning Labs

Learning Labs at the Nashville Public Library

JOIN THE FUN – beginning March 16 – as Music for Seniors rolls out its first inter-generational Live Performance Learning Labs at Nashville Public Library – free! These 8-week one-hour weekly Lab sessions will challenge beginners and experienced participants alike, and will culminate in a final public performance event (date TBD). A driver, caregiver, child or grandchild is encouraged to participate with their senior friend or family member. Loaner instruments are available for students and all course materials will be provided.

Through the generous support of our dedicated sponsors, the only cost to participate is YOUR COMMITMENT TO ATTEND!

Our Teaching Artists, all active Music for Seniors’ partner musicians, are: Todd Elgin, leader of The Ukedelics all-ukulele band and popular instructor at NAMM conventions; Matt Bridges, Music for Seniors’ Program Director, also renowned for facilitating drum circles with participants of all ages and his state-wide trainings and workshops; and Geno Haffner, leader of popular Nashville band The Dean Martinis and director of FiftyForward’s senior Choraleers.
